Some say bear markets are for building. We embraced that in 2023 and kept on building! So much so that we haven’t been sharing enough about our progress. Our venture studio is firing on all cylinders, and we believe we’ve been communicating through our work rather than just our thesis.

The bull market brought more liquidity, mainstream adoption, and enthusiasm to Web3 and crypto. This momentum validates our purpose: to reimagine ownership.

When we founded Metaversal in 2021, we envisioned a future where IP and creative ownership models would change for the better. In 2024, we still hold that belief, extending our core thesis to encompass various forms of ownership. Blockchain remains a powerful concept and technology to help more people own valuable assets, their personal data, and a greater share of their creative IP.

We will share more thoughts on how this next wave of crypto and Web3 will impact ownership for millions of people. How art business models are changing ( again ) and what we can do to help people stay informed and own their financial future.

In 2023, we began our journey with the Lumen Prize, collaborating to establish the world’s first generative art prize and embracing a philanthropic role to support the Prize comprehensively. After a year of partnership, it became clear how our technological expertise combined with their vibrant artist community could bring impactful and influential art to a broader audience. After many discussions and countless cups of coffee, we committed to supporting Lumen long-term. We are thrilled to be part of this exciting growth story.
